A new burger concept from award-winning serial restaurateur Mark Brezinski is on its way to North Dallas. Called Bizzy, the restaurant will open on Montfort Dr, with the goal to be a “better version of White Castle.”

Brezinski, who has been dubbed the “father of Dallas’ fast-casual food scene,” has opened over 120 restaurants and co-created such brands as Pei Wei Asian Diner and Velvet Taco. Joining him for his latest venture is John Franke, former executive chef at FB Society, and Larry Lavine, founder of Chili’s.

CultureMap Dallas announced the news, highlighting the forthcoming concept’s gourmet menu that will feature “better burgers,” but with smaller patties.

“Bizzy is not trying to be the next Hopdoddy or Liberty Burger,” Brezinski says. “It’s a better version of White Castle. It takes into account that same craving, but elevates the culinary side.”

Bizzy burgers will be made with certified Akaushi beef from Texas-based HeartBrand, with buns from King’s Hawaiian and house-made gourmet toppings called “blendz.” The concept’s vegetarian “veggie stack” option is made of thinly sliced, roasted veggies like mushrooms, peppers, spinach and squash.

Tater tot fries, house-made kimchi, and innovative non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks will also be on the menu.

When it opens in late summer or early fall, the restaurant will include a pick-up window and side entrance for third party and takeout orders.
