A certified taco sensation is preparing to bring even more of its distinctive and delicious fare to the DFW. Torchy’s Tacos, known for its imaginative takes on the titular dish and use of fresh ingredients, has filed paperwork to open a new Dallas location on Cedar Springs Road, with work set to begin early next year.
Torchy’s will be lighting its latest DFW flame at 2305 Cedar Springs Road, Suite 100. The paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the taqueria’s newest home shows that the chain will be moving into a renovated 2,533 square foot storefront.
Locals will need to wait until the new year to mark the signs of progress on the popular concept’s next Dallas home; work is slated to begin on January 19 of 2026 and should wrap by June 8 of 2026, giving future regulars reason to be optimistic for a summer opening.
Torchy’s has been wowing customers since its humble beginnings as a food truck in 2006. While the restaurant has grown beyond its Austin roots, it has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving “damn good food”. The website offers this insight into the fare: “Made with fresh ingredients, full of curated flavors, we pushed the boundaries of what people thought a taco could be. We weren’t going to serve something you could get anywhere. We made you crave our food, that you can only get at Torchy’s. “
Future Dallas customers can look forward to sampling a wide range of tacos full of different proteins including pork, beef, chicken, seafood, and veggies. Those uninterested in the restaurant’s namesake dish can enjoy a torched bowl, burrito, or salad. Torchy’s even has the early birds covered; the restaurant serves delicious breakfast options including burritos, migas, and build-your-own breakfast tacos.
