Fast-casual Italian favorite Olive Garden tells its customers “when you’re here, you’re family”, and if that is true, Dallas diners should get ready to meet a bumper crop of new relatives. The popular chain has filed paperwork for a new Cedar Hill location.

Fans of the restaurant will be able to search for the bottom of the breadstick basket at 311 North Clark Road, in the space that previously housed T.G.I. Fridays. Locals will still have a bit of a wait before enjoying their Tour of Italy; paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that construction is set to begin on the project on June 23 of this year, and should wrap by March 3 of 2026.

Described as “New construction of an Olive Garden on an existing site”, the completed building will provide Olive Garden with 6,496 square feet of space to serve up its signature fare.

Olive Garden first entered the culinary scene in Florida in 1982. The brand has experienced incredible success, expanding to 956 global locations with the lion’s share-920-located in the US. 114 of those American storefronts are in Texas.
