DFW diners, get ready for unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. Olive Garden, a chain that promises that when you’re there you’re family, has filed permits for a new Midlothian location, and construction is slated to start later this summer.

The incredibly popular Italian chain is setting up shop in a newly constructed building located at 251 Nicolette Creek Road. The restaurant will span 7,828 square feet according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The paperwork further states that construction is set to begin on the project on July 6 of this year and should wrap by March of 2027.

While this suggests that Midlothian diners will need to exercise a bit of patience, many will find the wait entirely worthwhile. The Olive Garden has been a fan-favorite since its debut in Florida in 1982. The restaurant, which serves Italian-American cuisine, has more than 900 locations open and operational internationally.
