Olivella’s Pizza & Wine, the Roman and Neapolitan-style pizza kitchen, has unveiled its new “Olivella’s Italian Deli” storefront at its existing Deep Ellum location, located at 2816 Elm Street in Dallas. After research, recipe development, and taste-testing, Olivella’s Italian Deli features a menu comprised of 19 panini and sub sandwiches native to old-world Italian paninotecas and American delicatessens.

Remaining faithful to Olivella’s’ century-old, made-from-scratch recipes, the Deli menu of 11 panini and eight 8-inch sub sandwiches are made of hoagie rolls and house-made bread baked daily, farm-fresh meats and cheeses, and sauces and spreads made with fresh-pressed oils, herbs, and spices. Rounding out its menu is a variety of appetizers such as meatballs and caprese skewers; salads such as Insalata Della Casa, Primavera, and Caesar; soups such as minestrone, Italian wedding, and tomato basil; desserts such as cannoli and tiramisu; and a limited selection of Olivella’s pastas and pizzas (whole or personal-size, until dough runs out). The Deli also features a full bar, wine by the glass or bottle, and draft and bottled beers.

The new Olivella’s Italian Deli is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for dine-in or carry-out, and is well-equipped to cater box lunches for groups of any size. Weekly and daily panino and sub specials will be offered. Delivery is also available.

“Although we’re famous in Dallas-Fort Worth for our authentic Italian pizza, our panini has been our best-kept secret since we first opened in Dallas over 16 years ago,” said Charlie Green, who founded Olivella’s along with one of the oldest pizza families in Naples, Italy in a statement. “Customer reception has always been great for our panini, but we haven’t had a large-enough offering for the public to think about us as a go-to sandwich place. So, in the last few years, we got serious about it, digging into the trove of family panini recipes and adding our take on Italian-American sandwich favorites. We’re beyond thrilled to finally unveil Olivella’s Italian Deli to our longtime Olivella’s Pizza & Wine customers, and hopefully to a lot of new ones, too.”
