Delicious food can make the most mundane tasks feel transcendent. The DFW Airport has developed a reputation for attracting superior dining options, helping to turn the potential tedium of travel into a delicious experience. The transportation hub is continuing its reign by welcoming Piada Italian Street Food, a concept certain to improve every flyer’s trip.

In continuing DFW International’s history of being a groundbreaker, the 2141 South International Parkway storefront will be Piada’s first location in a United States airport. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, work will begin on the restaurant-set to open at Terminal B-14-on November 3 and should be completed by March 13 of next year. Piada will have a dedicated 920 square feet in which to prepare and serve its signature Italian fare.

Piada will be right at home in an airport said to have the “best overall concessions program” by Airport Experience News. The concept has been on the dining scene since 2010, and the restaurant’s ethos lends itself well to the travel dining experience-the website explains: “We believe in eating well even when we need to eat fast. Great food starts with a few simple, fresh ingredients and someone who knows how to bring the best flavors to life.”

Flyers can look forward to choosing from a menu populated by an array of Italian favorites, with selections including salads, fit bowls, pastas, and piadas-contained sandwiches full of delicious toppings wrapped in a thin crust dough.
