A popular California-based pizza chain is preparing to bring Texans their first taste of its distinctive pies. Pizza Guys will be making its Lone Star State debut in the DFW when it opens a Plano location later this year, reports Community Impact.

The corporate owned restaurant will be setting up its pizza ovens at 9617 Coit Road, Suite 109. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the storefront will provide Pizza Guys with 1,401 square feet of space in which to serve up hot slices.

Plano pizza fans can look forward to sampling the pizzeria’s fare when it opens this fall; construction began on the necessary renovations on June 1 and are set to conclude by September 1 of this year.

Pizza Guys may be new to the DFW, however the chain is no stranger to the pizza scene at large. The concept was founded in Sacramento in 1986 and now has more than 70 storefronts spread across the country. While many of those locations are run by franchisees, the Plano eatery will be corporate run.

Pizza Guys has an impressive range of pies on tap for its customers. Guests will be able to choose between traditional and wildly unconventional meals with the “create your own” option. However, Pizza Guys is ready to satisfy cravings patrons don’t even know they have with some of its very own distinctive inventions, including the fireworks pizza and the artichoke fiesta.
