Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is set to open in Plano this summer. Managing Partner Jackie Yim told What Now Dallas they hope to open in July or August depending on permitting and construction.

The Plano Jeremiah’s location is the first franchise for Yim and partners, Ella Fok and Cong La. Yim and Fok are originally from Florida, and Fok’s friend opened a franchise location in the state. “We went and checked it out, and we really liked the product and just really enjoyed Jeremiah’s,” Yim said.

They discussed the idea and partnered with La to bring the concept to Plano. “We just thought three people, different skill sets, to run our first store,” Yim explained. They hope to open additional locations in the future.

“We’re very excited.” Yim said. “It’s really an East Coast thing and not a lot of people, especially on the West Coast and here, know what it is. So, it’s cool to bring that concept and get people familiar with what Italian Ice is.” The brand’s Italian Ice features a combination of fresh fruit, fruit puree, filtered water, and sugar, creating a cold treat for diners, according to the website.

The menu of Jeremiah’s tasty frozen treats includes more than 40 flavors of Italian Ice, ice cream, and the Jeremiah’s Gelati, which is layers of Italian Ice with soft ice cream.
