A bona fide Southern sensation is making its way to Denton diners. Waffle House, known for its 24 hour serving cycle and Southern comfort foods, has filed paperwork for a new DFW location in the neighborhood, with work set to start next month.
The venerable favorite will be moving into a newly constructed building located at 100 N. Loop 288. According to the forms submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the restaurant will occupy 1,840 square feet and construction is set to begin on November 1. Work is projected to wrap by April 1 of 2026, suggesting a late spring or early summer opening is on the horizon.
Waffle House has been making a relatively strong push into the DFW this year, with several new locations in active development.
The chain is a titan of the dining scene, debuting in Georgia in 1955 and never slowing down. Waffle House now has more than 2,000 locations open across the United States and a host of dedicated fans who can’t get enough of its laid back atmosphere and its Southern breakfast favorites.
