Chicago’s top dog is getting ready for its next great frontier. After 62 years of serving satisfied customers, Portillo’s is bringing its trademark franks to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, marking its first ever airport location, reports Community Impact.

The Illinois-based chain will be joining the 2400 Aviation Drive transportation hub in Terminal B. Alongside being the brand’s inaugural airport storefront, the DFW space will see Portillo’s trying another new innovation on for size. According to the press materials the chain released for the eatery, the restaurant will be employing a fresh, dine-in only format with multiple places for hungry customers to place orders.

Visitors will be able to order in the traditional fashion, by walking up to the counter, however those who prefer a no-contact experience can opt to order ahead or use a self-service kiosk. Once their orders are placed and received, patrons will be able to enjoy their meals in a dining area with space for up to 50.

While DFW travelers hungry for Portillo’s hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, and fries have reason to get excited, they will need to temper their enthusiasm for now. An opening timeline is not presently available for the establishment.

As for Portillo’s, the company is looking forward to this next stage of its evolution and making travel a little more pleasant for hungry flyers. The press release states: “This new location is the perfect way to cater to travelers seeking quick bites or leisurely meals—in true Chicago-style fashion.”
