Shake Shack is opening its second location in Fort Worth. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant will be located at 1601 S University Dr.
Coming to the city’s WestBend development, Shake Shack will occupy the space that previously housed a Zoe’s Kitchen. An official opening date has not yet been announced, but it is likely to open later this year.
The forthcoming WestBend Shake Shack will be the second location in Fort Worth for the NYC-founded burger chain. Its first location is in the Fort Worth Stockyards at 122 E Exchange Ave, suite 160. The brand also has locations in Addison, Dallas, Irving, Plano, Southlake and The Woodlands, as well as San Antonio, Austin, and Houston.
Shake Shack started as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in New York City in 2001. The company has seen steady growth ever since, going public in 2015, and expanding to approximately 320 locations in 30 U.S. States and more than 107 international locations including London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Philippines, Mexico, Istanbul, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul and more.
Now branded as a modern day “roadside” burger stand, the chain serves a classic American menu of premium burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and crinkle cut fries.
Favorite burgers that come topped with the brand’s signature ShackSauce include the ShackBurger – a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, and the SmokeShack – a cheeseburger with Applewood-smoked bacon and chopped cherry peppers. Cheese fries, hand spun shakes, and frozen custard are also popular items.
