Dough-not worry, DFW sweet enthusiasts; delicious doughnuts are coming your way. Shipley Do-Nuts is bringing its handcrafted treats to a new Midlothian location, with construction set to start soon.

The bakery will be setting up its fryers at 550 Hawkins Run Road. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, work will begin on the renovation of the 1,595 square foot space on August 18 of this year. While an official opening timeline is not presently available, Midlothian locals may be able to enjoy a Shipley Do-Nut before the year is out; construction is set to wrap by November 10 of 2025.

Shipley has a long history of delighting customers. The sweet shop served its first guests in 1936 in Houston, Texas. Anchored by a commitment to superior, house-made donuts, the chain has spread to include more than 360 storefronts across 12 states.

Midlothian residents not yet familiar with the Shipley brand can look forward to choosing from a selection of more than 60 types of donuts, though the most enduringly popular remains the plain glazed flavor.
