A tried and true hospitality group is preparing to light up the DFW night life with a brand new project. Milkshake Concepts is getting ready to change the culture with Stories by Citizen, a lounge and bar that is certain to delight Dallas residents, reports the Dallas Business Journal.

Milkshake Concepts plan to take full advantage of the 6,083-square-foot space located at 1330 Dragon Street; the storefront will be divided into a primary room, open to the public, a members only lounge, and an outdoor deck.

Stories by Citizen will focus heavily on cocktails but will have a small selection of shareable plates available for hungry visitors.

Milkshake Concepts CEO Imran Sheikh believes that Stories by Citizen will fill a void in the local market. He states: “we felt that there was a lack of sort of bona fide nightlife … lounge options down there to offer a sort of differentiated experience than what exists.”

Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to commence on the project on October 1 of this year and should wrap by March 1 of 2026. Sheikh is hoping to open soon thereafter.
