Plano diners have nothing to be crabby about; a spicy seafood restaurant is bringing its distinctive cuisine to town. The Kickin’ Crab is making moves towards feeding the neighborhood, according to Community Impact.
The Cajun concept is taking over the space at 3420 K Avenue, Suite 160, that previously housed K Beauty Supply. While a precise opening timeline has not been made public, it is unlikely that Plano foodies will be able to sink their teeth into The Kickin’ Crab’s food this year. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation states that construction is set to begin on the project on April 1 of this year and should wrap by December 31, 2025.
The completed remodel will provide The Kickin’ Crab with 5,100 square feet to greet and feed its customers. The restaurant will use its space to create a memorable and distinctive dining experience. The company website describes it as: “No plates…no utensils! Just your hands, a bib, and our unique and absolutely irresistible KC sauces – a combination of spicy, sweet and tangy flavors – over freshly prepared seafood that will give your taste buds satisfaction unlike anything else you’ve ever tasted.”
Founded in Southern California in 2010, The Kickin’ Crab has established itself as one to watch in the seafood market. With 23 locations open so far, the chain has established a small but powerful presence in Texas. The Kickin’ Crab has locations in Garland, Carrollton, Fort Worth, Mesquite, Houston, and Grand Prairie.
