The Meteor, an all-day cafe and bike shop, plans to open at the luxury apartment community, Dallas Urby, sometime this summer.
The Meteor currently has locations in Austin and Bentonville, Arkansas. The new location in the heart of the Dallas Design District will open as a pop-up in the restaurant space connected to Dallas Urby’s first phase at 1930 Hi Line Dr. The Meteor will move into a permanent and larger space at the base of Dallas Urby’s second tower sometime in 2024, once construction is complete, according to a release on The Meteor’s website.
The Meteor serves a selection of natural wines, craft beer, and specialty coffees. House-made baked goods, breakfast tacos, burgers, and sourdough crust pizza are also on the menu.
The Meteor includes a boutique retail bike shop specializing in expert service and a selection of bikes, apparel, and accessories. The combination of a cafe, wine bar, and bicycle shop in one creates a fun and casual environment at The Meteor.
“We’re thrilled for The Meteor to land in Dallas this summer,” said Doug Zell, The Meteor founder, in a statement. “The Design District is a perfect location for us, given its rapid ascent as a culinary destination and its adjacency to Dallas’s growing network of bike paths.”
