A brand new day for Celina taco lovers is just over the horizon. Construction has recently begun on a new Torchy’s Tacos location, certain to be an oasis for neighborhood fans of the titular food.

According to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, work began on the project on February 17, 2025 and is set to wrap on July 21 of this year. Torchy’s new home, located at the intersection of Ownsby Parkway and Preston Road, will provide the restaurant with 3,800 square feet to whip up its famous fare.

The taqueria is certain to be welcome with open arms by Celina foodies. Torchy’s has made a name-and fan base-for itself through its commitment to freshly prepared cuisine, made with high-quality ingredients. The company website offers this tantalizing peak at its menu: “The ingredients make the meal. That’s why we responsibly and ethically source every single ingredient, down to the jalapeño. From there, we work hard to whip up the best damn tacos, cooked to order, just the way you like ’em.”

In addition to delicious tacos, the chain serves up delectable bowls, burritos, and queso, all washed down with some of the best margaritas in the game.
