J. Alexander’s, part of SPB Hospitality, is opening its first location in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Located at 3980 Dallas Parkway, the restaurant will host a grand opening celebration on Monday, January 26. The restaurant further plans to open a second location in the Prosper region by the end of 2026.
J. Alexander’s to Celebrate Plano Grand Opening on Jan 26
North Texas’s Plano region welcomes the first-ever J. Alexander’s restaurant chain. It is a premier upscale casual restaurant and is popularly known for its American cuisine prepared over a wood-fired grill.
The opening will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and champagne christening at 3:30 p.m., followed by the restaurant welcoming guests at 4:00 p.m.
G.J. Hart, CEO of SPB Hospitality, stated that the opening of J. Alexander’s in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is a “meaningful step in our continued growth and reflects our confidence in the state.”
G.J. Hart also noted, “Plano allows us to establish a strong foundation in North Texas, and we’re already looking ahead to expanding our presence with a second location in Prosper later this year. These communities are integral to our strategy as we continue to build momentum across the region.”
As part of its introduction to the Plano community, the restaurant will donate to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, a nonprofit that supports children and families affected by child abuse.
Talking about the donation event, Erica Stanley, chief advancement officer of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, said, “J. Alexander’s support ensures children and families can access resources and protection during some of the most difficult moments they face.”
Highlights from the Menu
The J. Alexander’s menu will offer prime rib, hand-cut steaks, seafood, sushi, sandwiches, salads, and more.
Some of the signature dishes include Thai Kai Chicken Salad, Steak Maui, and the Avocado Bomb. The restaurant also features an extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktails.
The Plano restaurant is the 39th J. Alexander’s location nationwide and the brand’s first in the North Texas region.
With the Plano opening, J. Alexander’s establishes its first footprint in North Texas, adding another national dining brand to the region’s growing restaurant scene.
