A popular Dallas hospitality group is making headlines with its plans for a brand new Mexican restaurant. Vandelay Hospitality, the team behind DFW favorites including Hudson House, Drake’s, and Anchor Sushi Bar, will be debuting El Molino in Snider Plaza later this year, reports Culture Map Dallas.

The fresh concept will be bringing fajita-focused cuisine to 6818 Snider Plaza, a space that previously housed Douglas Bar & Grill. While a precise opening date is not yet available, Vandelay anticipates greeting guests in the 2,500 square foot restaurant at some point this summer.

Vandelay, under the guidance of founder and restaurateur Hunter Pond, intends to apply a sophisticated lens to Mexican fair. El Molino will cultivate an elegant environment for its 65-seat eatery. An eight-seat bar will be available for customers excited to experience the concept’s refined margarita selection.

The menu will prominently feature fajitas, re-imagined as haute cuisine. Guests can look forward to enjoying the beloved dish prepared with unexpected proteins including quail and sausage.

Pond believes hat El Molino will bring something unique and wanting to the neighborhood-a role he is enthusiastic about filling. He states: “We are thrilled to bring another unique concept to Snider Plaza with El Molino. This restaurant fills a niche in the Park Cities dining scene by continuing to add moody and alluring ambiance dining experiences to the area, and transforming Snider Plaza into a must-visit dining destination for the city as a whole.”
