There are those who believe that you can have too much of a good thing; they have clearly never been to a Waffle House. The restaurant chain has won over a massive fan-following through its quirky sense of humor, late hours, and addictive fare. Exciting news for Hillsboro diners, then-the eatery is setting up camp at a new area location.

Waffle House has filed paperwork with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a newly constructed restaurant located on North I-35 Frontage Road. The building will provide the beloved chain with 1,840 square feet of space in which to serve up its signature fare to hungry customers.

While Hillsboro residents may feel their stomachs rumbling already, they still have a bit of a wait ahead of them. Construction is slated to begin on the Waffle House on January 2 of next year and is estimated to wrap by June 30 of 2026, suggesting fans should have their syrup ready by next summer.

An established legend of the culinary scene, Waffle House has been serving satisfied customers since 1955. The absolute juggernaut now has more than 2,000 locations spread across the United States.
