Saddlerock Wine & Beer Co. is coming soon to Fort Worth. Francesca Lawrence, general manager, told What Now Dallas that they are currently working on permitting but hope to open at 731 Samuels Ave. just north of Downtown Fort Worth in late July or early August.
The Fort Worth spot will be the first tasting room in Texas for Saddlerock Wines, which is based in California. The space on Samuels Ave. is historically preserved, so they want to keep the history of the property. They plan to renovate the interior with new paint and the addition of a bar space. Lawrence said aspects of the home will be highlighted for the guests to enjoy.
At Saddlerock Wine & Beer Co., they plan to offer wines from the Saddlerock label and beer tastings of local brews with pop-ups from local third-party food vendors. Grab-and-go food options such as charcuterie will also be offered. “Everyone’s getting excited for us to open, and we’re doing our best to make it happen as soon as possible,” Lawrence said.
Another concept is also in the works. Lawrence said they hope to open a Brock location to offer safari wine tours by the end of 2023 or early 2024. They are working through an annexation process because the proposed location is in a dry area. “We’re waiting for that to be approved before we can move forward.”
The space in Brock will be built from the ground up and is expected to include a more established food option. The goal is to allow guests to interact with exotic animals while enjoying wine.
