A southern chicken sensation is getting ready to shake up the DFW poultry scene. Work will begin on a new Zaxby’s Fort Worth location this spring, ushering in a new era of fast-casual dining for the region.
The popular Georgia-based chain will be taking over the 3,082 square foot space at 5369 Sycamore School Road that previously housed a Burger King, ensuring the space continues serving up hot meals to customers in a hurry.
The start of Zaxby’s Fort Worth chapter is just around the corner. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to begin on the project on May 1 of this year and should conclude by July 15. Based on this timeline, it is likely that Zaxby’s will be doling out hot chicken sandwiches to the community by late summer or early fall.
Zaxby’s entered the fast-casual dining scene in Statesboro, Georgia in 1990. The chain earned a fan-following thanks to its unique menu that prominently features chicken dishes, including sandwiches, fingers, and salads. The brand now includes 941 storefronts across the country.
