The Colony diners are getting a new home for superior beer and great food. Yard House, known for its extensive draft selection and love of classic rock, has filed papers to open a new location in Denton, with work set to start this summer.

Yard house is bringing its more than 100 beers on tap to 5351 Nebraska Furniture Mart Drive. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the restaurant shows that it will be occupying a 10,912 square foot renovated space.

Denton diners hungry for updates will be able to mark the signs of progress this summer; work is set to commence on Yard House on July 13 of this year and projected to wrap by April 12 of 2027, suggesting the eatery may be opening next spring.

The Yard House menu puts an elevated spin on classic comfort foods. Diners can feast on steaks, pizzas, burgers, and plenty of chicken and seafood dishes. Of course the beer and the ambiance are equally integral to the Yard House experience; as the website explains: “our passion for great beer, great food and great music runs deep. You’ll find the world’s largest selection of draft beer along with a diverse menu inspired by our California roots.”
