Whole Foods to Launch 47,918-Square-Foot Store

Shoppers can expect more than 600 local products sourced from Texas and nearby states. The McKinney store will include a range of conventional, organic Sourced for Good produce, along with offers from four local farms.

The grocery aisles will stock Whole Foods Market and 365 by Whole Foods Market staples. It will also hold a range of local products, including, almond milk from MALK, whole milk from Mill King Market and Creamery, and flour tortillas.

The seafood counter will offer responsibly farmed and wild-caught selections. Expect a variety of oysters and ready-to-cook seafood options. The meat department will feature in-house butchers, hand-cut steaks, and house-made sausages.

The beverage section will offer 530 wines and more than 250 craft beers, including 17 from local breweries. The bakery will serve house-baked breads, while the Wellness & Beauty section will carry over 16 locally made products.

Free Coffee, Giveaways at New Whole Foods

To celebrate the grand opening, the new store will be offering complimentary coffee from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters and food samples from OHLA!Foods. The first 300 customers in line will also receive a Secret Saver Coupon worth up to $100 off and a custom tote bag.

Whole Foods Market will donate a refrigerated van and surplus food to All Community Outreach, a local nonprofit serving McKinney residents. The non-profit organization makes regular food pickups of surplus food from Whole Foods Market stores to serve the community and avoid food waste.

Benefits for Prime Members

Prime members who are regular shoppers at the store enjoy several perks throughout the year. They are offered deep discounts on select products each week, with an additional sale and another 10% off hundreds of in-store sale items.

Customers can also pay with their palm using the Amazon or Whole Foods Market app, thanks to the store’s advanced checkout tech. The McKinney store will feature its smart shopping cart, the Dash Cart, which makes grocery shopping much faster.

On the opening day, the first 500 shoppers to use the Dash Cart will receive a complimentary tote bag. With local products, smart tech, and grand opening giveaways, Whole Foods Market aims to become a go-to grocery destination in McKinney.
