Weir’s Furniture is a longtime family-owned business in North Texas. The business began in March 1948 when J. Ray and Bea Weir opened the Knox Street store. The company grew from a local furniture shop to a renowned name in North Texas home furnishings.

The stores offer a range of home furniture and decor, such as bedroom furniture, living room sets, dining tables, and home furnishing accessories. After 78 years in the furniture retail business, the company has announced plans to close.

Weir’s currently operates in the following four locations, and all of them are offering store closing sales:

  • Dallas – 4540 Travis St.
  • North Dallas – 4800 Spring Valley Rd.
  • Plano – 5801 Preston Rd.
  • Southlake – 201 N. Nolen Dr.

In the closure announcement post, the company thanked the community and wrote, “We are incredibly grateful for the support, trust, and memories you’ve shared with us over the years. It has truly meant everything to our family.”
