Mic Drop Comedy Plano, a boutique comedy club located at 7301 Lone Star Dr. in Plano, TX, is reopening to the public following its month-long remodel and rebranding on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. In celebration, the public is invited to attend its grand reopening party on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6-7 p.m.
This free-to-attend, community event is open to attendees of all ages. It will feature an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. sharp, a tour of the new space led by Mic Drop Comedy Plano owners, hand-passed appetizers made by in-house chefs, handcrafted specialty cocktails, and the first 50 people in attendance will receive free tickets to the 7 p.m. show featuring Jiaoying Summers.
Summers is a stand-up comedian known for her sharp wit and relatable storytelling. The Los Angeles local connects with audiences from all walks of life and blends dark humor with personal anecdotes. Immediately following her performance, Summers will participate in an exclusive meet and greet for all audience members.

Mic Drop Comedy is known for over-the-top, elaborate, and art-centric designs, and its newly renovated Plano location is no exception. Event goers will be the first to experience the floor-to-ceiling hand-painted murals to the theme of Disney’s classic animated movie, Robin Hood. Every inch of the storybook venue including the bar, stage, green room, and bathrooms is now hyper-realistic and immerses visitors into the fictional town of Nottingham and Sherwood Forest in Central England.
