A recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation outlined plans for The Blue Fish Japanese Restaurant to open a location called The Blue Maki at Dallas’ The Shops at Park Lane.
The Blue Fish Chief Operating Officer, Sean Kim was unable to offer an open date, as progress in the early stages of restaurant planning can be unpredictable, and often halting. However, the filing listed an expected completion date for the location updates in the spring of 2024.
The Blue Fish website is currently teasing several new locations — one in Colorado, China, Georgia and of course the Texas location at The Shops at Park Lane which differs slightly from the others in name, being listed as The Blue Maki rather than The Blue Fish.
Though the specific menu isn’t released, the restaurant group is know for its hand-rolled sushi, cold plates like yellowtail or salmon, and hot dishes like Shrimp Dynamite, served in a spicy sauce, Kobe Sizzler, potstickers, wontons, and stuffed jalapeños.
According to the website, “The Blue Fish Japanese Restaurants serve the finest sushi, sashimi, and rolls with an emphasis on quality and freshness” and has been doing so for over 20 years. Look for updates on this location at www.thebluefishsushi.com.
