Boulder is about to welcome a new player to its vibrant brewery scene – Black Cat Brewing. Founded by Trevor Johnson, the brewery is set to make a mark at 5763 Arapahoe Avenue, Units #C & D.

In recent liquor licensing records, it is shown that Black Cat Brewing was approved in December for a license. While there’s no timeline available for opening, it’s a sign of progress in the brand’s journey to bring craft beer enthusiasts a new experience.

The company told What Now Denver that a press release will be coming soon. The space the company is moving into is already fully built out for a brewery business.

Spartacus, the owner’s 19-year-old cat that was adopted from the Longmont Humane Society, is the inspiration for the name of the business. Sadly, Spartacus is dealing with a terminal illness but will live on forever in the brewery.
