Handsome Boys Hospitality’s latest venture, Baby D’s, is set to bring a new nightlife experience to Larimer Square, according to Business Den. Taking over the space at 1422 Larimer St., this new lounge will offer a unique speakeasy-inspired atmosphere.

The new establishment will feature classic Prohibition-era cocktails such as the Bee’s Knees and the Bathtub Gin Martini, along with small bites. Handsome Boys Hospitality, led by Denver native Josh Schmitz, is investing around $225,000 in the location for minor renovations and the training of approximately 30 new employees.

In a property that once housed Frank Bonanno’s Green Russell speakeasy and Russell’s Smokehouse, Baby D’s will continue the building’s legacy. It will have a speakeasy in the basement, while the front bar area will house a retail store for custom cowboy hats. The group is hoping for a summer opening.

Handsome Boys Hospitality is known for its distinctive approach to the restaurant, bar, and nightlife industry in the Mile High City. The company’s other successful ventures include Disco Pig, RiNo Country Club, Con Safos, El Patio, Dalton’s Denver, Jaguar Room, and Tony Tendoronis.
