Ice cream lovers in Frederick have reason to celebrate as Cold Stone Creamery prepares to open a new location at the Silverstone Marketplace. Construction documents reveal that the brand has a new franchise unit planned at 5901 Silverstone Dr. Suite C.

The store is part of a growing shopping center development, Silverstone Marketplace, anchored by King Soopers, according to Evergreen Devco. The Arizona-based real estate developer is the landlord of the complex, which is located at the northwest corner of Highway 52 and Colorado Boulevard.

Records show the new Cold Stone Creamery will occupy a 1,200-square-foot space with a dining area, service counter, restroom, and prep area. The build-out is valued at approximately $240,000, and the brand will collaborate with MAH Architectural Group, Swanson-Levary Engineering, and Corey Electrical Engineering for the project.

Documents also state that the operator of this coming location will be Kayla Kramer of TKK Investments, Inc. Not much information is available about Kramer online and she did not return requests for comment before publication.

Yahoo Finance recently put out a report that the global ice cream market is set to grow by $31.7 billion over the next four years. North America leads the market, contributing 35% of that growth.
