Cracker Barrel will be building a restaurant at Runway 35 South, Central Park Scoop confirms. The restaurant chain is actively working on a property at 9111 E 40th Ave., records show.

What Now Denver reached out to Cracker Barrel a while ago to ask the status of permits filed, but was told “We’re always considering opportunities for new locations, but we have no announcements to make at this time about opening a new store in your area.”

However, more permits have been recently filed for, seemingly proving the brand is moving forward with the new eatery. Architectural, electrical, mechanical, and health plan reviews submitted in the last two weeks are all listed as “not approved”.

Records state that Cracker Barrel is looking to construct a new 8,992-square-foot eatery with a patio over 2,000 square feet and the classic fireplace in the dining room. There will be 82 parking spaces provided for the site: 77 standard and five accessible spaces. The project total is listed at $2,175,000.
