As Life Time continues to elevate the game when it comes to fitness centers, it has been revealed that the company will open at The Shops at Northfield. Records with the city show 8568 E. Northfield Blvd. as the address for which multiple permits have been filed.

A Formal Site Development Plan outlines Life Time’s intent to take over the former JCPenney building and fully remodel the interior into a large-format fitness facility. But it’s not just any old gym — it will have a LifeCafe, pool, childcare space, a salon, spa, and indoor and outdoor recreation areas.

The project is part of the broader transformation of The Shops at Northfield, which is currently undergoing redevelopment under Stockdale Capital Partners, Mile High CRE reports. The Central Park plaza has more than 1.1 million square feet of retail and dining space, with other tenants like Target, Sephora, Bass Pro Shops, and Harkins Theatres 18.

A timeline for when the new location will debut is unknown. Life Time’s public relations team told What Now Denver, “At this time, we don’t have any additional details to share regarding the Life Time development at The Shops at Northfield beyond what’s already been publicly announced.”
