Most people who have visited California in their lifetime have tried the state’s popular fast food chain In-N-Out Burger

They opened their first Colorado-based locations in Colorado Springs and Aurora at the end of 2020, with a location in Lone Tree and one in Lakewood in 2021.

Now, the family-operated restaurant is opening a second Colorado Springs location that’s just begun construction at the intersection of Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue where an Outback Steakhouse used to be at 2895 New Center Point.

The second location was announced by the Gazette last year and is reported to be just under 3,900 square feet with the ability to hold 124 people.

“The welcome that we have felt from our customers in Colorado has been remarkable, and we’re thankful to be part of the wonderful communities there!” Mike Abbate, Assistant Vice President of Real Estate for In-N-Out, told What Now Denver by e-mail on Tuesday.

The company first formed in 1948 and has remained family owned and operated ever since. Diners are familiar with options like animal-style fries off the secret menu that adds the special In-N-Out sauce with cheese and grilled onions. Other favorites are the wrap burgers and Neapolitan milkshakes.

While Abbate said they didn’t have an official opening date, they’re hoping to have the restaurant ready by the end of the year. Additionally, the company has two other locations under construction in Thornton and Castle Rock, as well.
