According to construction records, Jersey Mike’s Subs is expanding with a new location in Arvada. The sub shop will be opening in the Whisper Village Complex, at 9075 Howell St #3.

A 1,150-square-foot restaurant, it will have a 22-person occupancy load, including 4 kitchen staff, 15 dining customers, and 3 for front-of-house.

The project is set for a tenant build-out, with a range of trades needed, from walls to plumbing to electrical. Construction will be managed by Rodney Taylor, VP of Construction, and design specialist Phillip Taylor-Thompson, with Connor McHugh serving as the project manager.

Located at the NE corner of W. 90th Ave. and Indiana St., the complex that Jersey Mike’s is moving in will also feature other tenants like Dunkin’, Taco Bell, and Brakes Plus. Some of those businesses have already opened.

Donn Berdahl, the franchisee behind the new Jersey Mike’s location in Arvada, has a wide ranged background as an entrepreneur and business man. He is now the operator of several stores in the metro area.

Jersey Mike’s is an established American sandwich chain, originally founded in 1956 as Mike’s Subs. The brand expanded rapidly after Peter Cancro took over in 1975 and began franchising in 1987.
