Larimer Liquors, the latest venture from Sudhir Kudva and his team, is set to bring a nostalgic Midwest bar experience to Denver’s RiNo district. Slated to open soon, the Denver Post reports that the beer and shot bar will be located at 3122 Larimer Street.
It promises to be a cozy, down-to-earth destination for those seeking a casual night out. The place will have an old-school tavern vibe, complete with wood paneling and vintage décor. There will be two TVs and a projector, making it a good place for casual sports watching.
In addition to a variety of cold beers, Larimer Liquors will have simple mixed drinks and also serve hot dogs. It will operate seven days a week, with hours from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends. Happy hour will run daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Kudva is a native of Illinois, and co-owner Colin Hankins is originally from Nebraska. They want to recreate a Midwest dive bar feel, and aren’t new to the Denver drinking scene; the group owns a number of popular spots, including The Squire Lounge, The Matchbox, and The Marigold.
