New Italian Culinary Destination Opening in RiNo

New Italian joint Risica will be joining the list of restaurants in RiNo, according to the Denver Post. The venture, spearheaded by renowned chef Andrea Frizzi, will open next year at 3463 Walnut Street, inside the luxury apartment complex Edit.

Known for his previous ventures Il Posto, Tammen’s Fish Market, and Vero, Frizzi is well known in the Colorado restaurant scene. He tells What Now Denver the restaurant’s name is derived from the Italian saying “chi non risica non rosica”, which translates to “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” 

Risica will feature a menu inspired by traditional Italian flavors, focusing on small plates and Neapolitan-style pizza baked in a Marra Forni brick oven. It promises to deliver a taste of Milan, with offerings including charcuterie, oysters, beef carpaccio, seasonal crudo, and crostinis, all crafted using fresh, high-quality ingredients. 

It is set to open in the summer of 2025. The venue, a 2,100-square-foot space with a patio, is being designed by the award-winning LIV Studio. Henry Group Real Estate handled signing of the the 10-year lease.
