Those who need a sugar fix will be happy to hear a new freeze-dried candy is coming to town. Mile Hi Sweets and Treats announced it will be opening a flagship store at 8286 Northfield Blvd.

The company is already a local sensation known for its innovative freeze-dried candy collection, offering a light and fluffy dessert.  Freeze-drying involves a vacuum pump extracting water from the candy for a chewy center and crunchy consistency.

Flavors offered by the business include Taffy Clouds, Vanilla Chocolate Clouds, and Magic Kernel Crunch. Different categories of candies are available, from sweet and sour to spicy and gummy. They have taffy, nutty, and chocolate options as well.

Mile Hi Sweets and Treats has been providing progress updates about the new location on Facebook. The lease was signed in late November, and in December the brand posted that it was “working through all the steps and licenses and everything.”
