Water Grill, a seafood restaurant owned by King’s Seafood Company, is opening a new location in Denver at the corner of 16th and Market Street in the 16th Street Mall.
“We’re very excited,” said Executive Chef Paolo Bendez’u when he spoke to What Now Denver on Wednesday. “We recently had a great time with our opening in Vegas, and we’re really looking forward to this.”
Water Grill started as a seafood destination in California, and the King’s Seafood Company is based out in Costa Mesa. While the menu primarily serves seafood, there’s also filets, ribeyes, and chicken sprinkled throughout the menu, as well.
The director of marketing, Matt Foley, said that everything was going well, and that they were hoping to be open by the end of the year. “Right now we’re just discussing what the best opening date will be with the holidays, but we’re looking at late December or early January.”
King’s Seafood Company, according to their website, is family owned and operated and has been in business for over 70 years. The company is now run by Jeff and Sam King, who opened their first operation the day before Thanksgiving in 1983.
They now own and operate 22 different restaurants with 7 different concepts, including the Water Grill, whose sixth location will be the one in Denver.
