Denver’s Grocery Stores were compared and ranked alongside 3,000 others around the country, and the result was mixed. The good news is that the city had one grocery store that made it to the Best 15. The not-so-good news is that Denver had more of the worst-rated stores than any other city.

- As per the study, Denver has one of the best 50 grocery stores in the country.

Denver’s Best and Worst Grocery Stores, Ranked by Solatired
Denver was one of the cities mentioned most often in the Solitaired Study report, a few times for positive reasons, but mostly not. The city did have one store that ranked highly, but it also has several that were rated poorly across several categories.
Only One Denver Grocery Store Makes It Among the Best
The Denver Central Market, located at 2669 Larimer St, was the single silver lining for the city. It was ranked 14th on the Top 50 list of the Best Grocery Stores in the United States. The store had an overall rating of 4.7, based on 5,220 reviews.
Denver Has the Most Grocery Stores in the Bottom 50
However, the report also highlighted several poorly rated stores in the city. Denver had the most stores on the list of the Top 50 Worst Grocery Stores in the country. The city has the lowest average-rated grocery stores among the 100 cities that were analyzed.
Six out of the 50 lowest-rated grocery stores in the country are in Denver, according to the analysis done by Solitaired. King Soopers, located at 18605 Green Valley Ranch Blvd, was the second-worst-rated store on the list. Safeway at 757 E 20th Ave came in at the 7th place, and Kroger at 1331 Speer Blvd was placed 13th.
Grocery Stores of Denver Lead in Negative Customer Service Reviews
With 11 out of the 50 worst-rated grocery stores for customer service, Denver was again highlighted in the report. The analysis result showed that the highest volume of customer service complaints was from the city.
All the grocery stores that performed poorly in the customer service section were King Soopers and Safeway locations. Six King Soopers, at various locations in Denver, was part of the list for the worst customer service, the worst one being in 4th place, with a 4.52% frequency of bad customer service reviews. Five Safeway locations in Denver were also part of the list.
The results are from a study conducted by Solitaired. The study aimed to identify which grocery stores offered the best experiences, as the lines at those stores are where people very often play their games.
The ranking was done based on an analysis of 7 million reviews from the first 30 grocery stores that popped up in the 100 most populated cities in the US. They analyzed the 3-star and lower reviews, which highlighted key areas where the stores performed poorly. In addition to the overall ranking, separate rankings for customer service, food, quality, prices, and waiting times are also given.
