Located at 600 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit’s Cambria Hotel occupies a piece of radio history that will soon be brought back to life. The hotel’s historic space that once housed the WWJ AM News Radio is now being reimagined as a new coffee shop called A.M. Buzz.

The new cafe will feature self-service kiosks as well as online ordering, plus dine-in seating, according to coverage by Click On Detroit.

“By incorporating our love for radio and the buzz it creates, we are excited to provide a place for the local community and visitors of Detroit to grab a breakfast and a coffee,” co-owner Joseph Caradonna said in coverage by WXYZ Detroit.

Co-Owner Christopher Kouza, who is a partner with Caradonna in KouCar Management, also described the menu to WXYZ. Expect “fresh-brewed coffee, specialty drinks and a build-your-own sandwich option,” plus “grab-and-go salads, deli sandwiches, and more.”

What Now contacted Joseph Caradonna on Wednesday to inquire further about A.M. Buzz’s launch timeline and planned menu offerings. Caradonna declined to comment on the project at this time.
