The brainchild of entrepreneur Todd Graves—“Founder, CEO, Fry Cook and Cashier”—who created the brand when he was only 24 years old, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is growing all over the country. The brand launched its first location in the Detroit Metropolitan Area this year, in Canton, and that’s not all Raising Cane’s has in store for Metro Detroit this year.
Coverage by The Perna Team published earlier this year said Raising Cane’s was planning to open two new locations by the end of 2025: one in Sterling Heights, and another in Chesterfield Township. The Chesterfield Township plans have since been withdrawn. The Sterling Heights location still appears to be going through the permitting process.
What Now reached out to Raising Cane’s VP of Company Restaurants Jason Zwerin on Wednesday to ask about the status of the Sterling Heights location. Zwerin was not immediately available for comment.
Raising Cane’s streamlined menu features combos like the Box Combo (4 Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, One Cane’s Sauce, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, Regular Fountain Drink); the Sandwich Combo, which features three chicken fingers on a toasted bun; and the Caniac Combo, which comes with 6 chicken fingers and an extra Cane’s Sauce.
“Our certified ‘Bird Specialists’ hand batter premium chicken that’s marinated for 24 hours, then cooked to order for fingers that are hot and tender down to the last bite,” says the Raising Cane’s website. “Every meal is cooked to order, because when it comes to fresh, delicious food, we never compromise (and neither should you).”
