Churchill’s Cigar Lounge has applied for a liquor license for its upcoming location in Rochester Hills, according to the Rochester Hills Planning Commission records. The company’s website also marks the Rochester Hills location as coming soon.

The new cigar lounge is located at 2596 S Rochester Rd, on the west side of Rochester Rd. and south
of Wabash Rd. in the Hawthorne Plaza. Submittal material indicates the upcoming location will open daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The new location will be a full-service restaurant with food offerings, cigar retail capabilities, and an accessory bar serving beer, liquor, and wine. Plans submitted indicate the space will be separated into a 4,256-square-foot restaurant and a 1,997-square-foot mezzanine.

Started as a family-owned tobacco shop in downtown Birmingham, Churchill’s opened its first cigar bar in West Bloomfield in 2020 and added two full-service restaurants in Birmingham and Grosse Pointe Woods. The bistro menu features appetizers, salads, entrees, and sides with an emphasis on fine seafood and steak.

A representative for Churchill’s cannot be reached for comments.
