We recently reported a breakfast restaurant called The Morning Post is taking over the old Punk Taco space in the Brookfield Plaza. Long time East Lansing residents may remember that Punk Taco’s space adopted a unique dual-concept layout, with the other side of the store belonging to a bar-and-grill called The Cosmos, which is now operating on North Larch St.

With the space being vacant on both sides, the same operator behind The Morning Post decided to continue the iconic dual-concept tradition by opening up a second restaurant in the space at 1351 E Grand River Ave. According to Arnulfo Ramirez, CEO of Los Tres Amigos – Brookfield, LLC, the second restaurant, D’Nulffos, is an upscale steak and seafood house with exceptional wines and craft cocktails.

Ramirez is a seasoned restaurateur mainly known by his Mexican restaurants, including the upcoming Los Tres Mex Grill on Albert Street. The restaurateur shared in an email that he is targeting his Los Tres brand at Ann Arbor this year, but did not share when D’Nulffos is anticipated to open.
