A new concept appears to be joining Royal Oak’s ramen scene in the downtown area. Leasing materials indicate a company called Royal Oak Ramen, LLC has just signed the lease for a space at 117-123 S Main St. The new ramen shop will occupy a roomy 6,011-square-foot retail space on the first floor, which has been vacant since October 2022.

Royal Oak Ramen’s lease begins in February 2024. The LLC is owned and operated by Michael Bailey, a real estate developer and a founding member of MTB Partners, at the same time, CDO of Patton Wings, Inc, the largest Buffalo Wild Wings franchisee in the U.S. with 103 locations in eight states.

With experience in real estate, multi-unit franchise management, and hospitality, Bailey’s endeavor into ramen restaurants started on a hopeful note. Once open, Royal Oak Ramen will be the only Asian/ramen eatery on the corner, surrounded by other food options like Leo’s Coney Island, Pinky’s Rooftop, Dessert Oasis Coffee, Comet Burger, and Johnny’s.

The building at 117-123 S Main St is a two-story mixed-use building containing retail businesses and offices. While Bailey responded to What Now Detroit‘s email and confirmed the upcoming business, he mentioned he’d rather share more details when the restaurant is closer to completion.

UPDATE: The upcoming ramen business will be Jinya Ramen Bar. Royal Oak Ramen LLC is the franchisee operating the new restaurant.
