A new seafood and chicken spot with halal meat is coming to the township this month.

Basha’s Hot Chicken & Seafood has announced a third location is opening at 36529 Southbound Gratiot Avenue. This will not be the only new restaurant from the company as more are under construction and have not been announced. Owner Mohamad Albasha told What Now Detroit he is hoping to open in about two weeks.

Albasha’s two locations are at 11580 13 Mile Road in Warren and at 15834 W 7 Mile Road in Detroit. The team is known for serving fried chicken, wings, tenders and seafood cooked in pressure fryers. Their famous Kool Aid is also a popular option at their restaurants.

“Our style of frying is more tender, juicer, crisper and flat-out tastes better than ordinary frying,” says the description on their website.

Basha’s has earned recognition as one of the top options for chicken in metro Detroit. The locations also cater, serving 100 piece or 200 piece chicken combos, and 50 piece fish pans with sides. Their menus and catering options are available on their website.

The Clinton Township restaurant will be on the west side of Gratiot Avenue, joining the plaza with Lil Thai Express. This is close to other concepts like Alex’s of Clinton Township serving American cuisine. The Macomb Mall is about five minutes south of Basha’s.

Albasha will be announcing the additional locations in the near future. For more information on Basha’s Hot Chicken & Seafood and the Clinton Township opening date, visit their Instagram @bashaschicken.
