A South Michigan developer has leased space for a burger cafe near Flint’s Genesee Valle Center shopping mall.

Hussein Ali Salem, the registered owner of a Grand Blanc company called Salem 1 Burger, Inc., listed his company as the new tenant for a storefront in the Park Place strip plaza at 14240 Miller Road, according to a three-year lease agreement he signed earlier this year.

Not much is known about the menu or a proposed opening date for the new eating spot.

Salem confirmed he leased 2,500 square feet of space at the plaza property, but told What Now Detroit he wasn’t ready to divulge his plans publicly, when reached for comment. The suite sat vacant for more than four years, leasing records indicate.
