A new restaurant promising crispy chicken is under construction in the city.
In a recent report from WITL, 517 Chicken N Fries will be opening at 925 E Kalamazoo Street. This comes from owner Kulwinder Singh, a Lansing local. Singh told What Now Detroit there is not an estimated opening date yet, but it will likely be early next year.
The menu for the restaurant has not yet been released, but it is set to have crispy chicken options like tenders. Drinks and sides are still being planned.
517 Chicken N Fries is near the corner of E Kalamazoo Street and S Pennsylvania Avenue, next to Liquor Express. Jose’s Cuban Sandwich & Deli is at the opposite corner, and it is close to Lansing’s downtown.
Singh has been working on the project for a year now, and this is the first 517 Chicken & Fries concept for the area. Other chicken shops in Lansing include Crack Chicken, Fresh Fish & Fry, Krispy Krunchy Chicken and Finger Lickin’ Chicken & Fish.
As of April, the business was listed on Michigan‘s Business Registry website. When speaking with Singh, he said more construction needs to happen prior to the opening. The business has no social media yet, but updates on the restaurant will be released in the near future.
