The president of Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters is digging deep with a new cocktail bar underneath the coffee shop.
The Eastman, owned by Nathan Hamood, will be located underneath Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters at 336 S Main Street in downtown Rochester, Crain’s Detroit Business first reported. Trevor Wheeler will be the bar’s beverage director.
The bar’s name is a nod to builder Jefferson Eastman, who was responsible for the 1890 construction of the building in downtown Rochester.

In addition to the Rochester store, Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters has locations in Detroit, Ferndale and Royal Oak. The business was named Best Coffee Shop in Hour Detroit‘s 2023 Best of Detroit Awards.
