The company with sweets like baklava and Dubai chocolate has two new projects in the works.
Farhat Sweets has been teasing a new location coming to West Bloomfield at 7416 Haggerty Road, along with Dearborn further out. Owner Rachid Farhat told What now Detroit the West Bloomfield location will debut in two-to-three weeks, and Dearborn will open in 2027.
In an Instagram post from last August, it was announced their Dearborn business is “coming home” and will open at 21919 Michigan Avenue, the space owned by Nigosian’s Rug Co. Opening details for this location are still being sorted out
The sweets shop is currently in Troy at 2999 E Big Beaver Road and in Sterling Heights at 13941 Lakeside Circle. The shop is known for their cakes, cookies, gift boxes and many well-known Middle Eastern sweets. Farhat has been in Troy and Sterling Heights for 20 years, and expansion has been planned for a while.
“We’ve been expanding the past four years,” Farhat said.
The West Bloomfield location will be at the corner of Haggerty Road and W 14 Mile Road, Next to O’Leary Paint and Kubba House. This area of the city is home to many restaurants and coffee shops. In the latest post to Facebook, the inside looks to be nearing completion.
