Detroit-based restaurant management company Four Man Ladder Hospitality is heading into the new year with its first fast-casual restaurant project. Anticipated to open in the summer of 2025, the yet-to-be-named concept will fill a nearly 1,000-square-foot building at 22305 Woodward Ave in Ferndale.

“Over the past nine years, our beloved Grey Ghost burger has developed a loyal following,” chef and co-owner John Vermiglio said in a statement co-owner Jill Giacomino shared with What Now Detroit. “Its simple preparation and exceptional ingredients resonate with our guests, and we’re excited to translate that same spirit into a quick-service format. Alongside this fan favorite, we’ll introduce fresh new menu items, all crafted with the same commitment to quality.”

The eatery will feature a scratch-made menu spotlighting Four Man Ladder’s burger, chicken sandwich, and sides and will cater primarily to to-go customers. The restaurant will also offer local delivery and event and large party catering. Construction is set to begin this month and more details will be shared as the project progresses.

“This new venture marks an exciting expansion for Four Man Ladder Hospitality, led by Chefs Joe Giacomino and John Vermiglio, along with partners Will Lee and Michael Gray. The team envisions this as the first location, with additional to follow.” Giacomino shared in a statement.

Four Man Ladder Hospitality also owns three other Detroit concepts: Grey Ghost at 47 Watson Street, Second Best at 42 Watson Street, and Bason at 2703 Park Avenue.
