The largest Taco Bell franchisee in the Midwest, Team Lyders, is working on another Taco Bell location in Walled Lake at 800 N Pontiac Tri. The 5,672-square-foot restaurant was sold to the company on December 3, 2023, according to an official announcement published by KJ Commercial.
According to the original announcement, the property required a thorough redevelopment before it is ready for the new restaurant. Leasing material indicates Team Lyder anticipates the newly developed 3,545-square-foot space to be filled by December 2024.
There is another Taco Bell at 1163 E West Maple Rd in Walled Lake, which sits in the same shopping center as the new address. It is unclear if the existing location will close once the new location opens. Team Lyders had not replied to What Now Detroit’s media inquiry by the time of this coverage.
Other eateries in the center include Moonlight Mediterranean Restaurant and Burger King. Wingstop, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and Jeff’s Kitchen can be found across the street.
